Shri Rama Krishna Gouseva Charitable Trust

About Us

Shri Rama Krishna Gouseva Charitable Trust, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, is a kind-hearted effort to rescue, care for, and support cows and other helpless animals. Since we started in 2019, we have been working with love and dedication to build a world where kindness wins over cruelty. We care for animals through our shelters, medical camps, awareness programs, and rescue efforts. At the heart of our work is a strong belief: every living being deserves respect, safety, and love.

Our cows are regularly checked by veterinary doctors and given proper treatment. In Hindu tradition, the cow is seen as a sacred and holy animal. We worship cows on many special occasions and lovingly refer to them as Gomata, meaning "divine mother."

Shri Ramakrishna Goushala Trust was founded and is managed by Mr. M. Rajanna and his dedicated associates. A devoted follower of Shri Ramakrishna Math, Bengaluru, Mr. Rajanna was inspired by the traditional and spiritual significance of cow protection in Indian culture. With a deep sense of purpose, he established the Trust to provide compassionate care for cows and promote their welfare.

Over the past five years, the Goushala has lovingly sheltered and nurtured more than 75 cows, ensuring they receive proper nutrition, medical attention, and a peaceful environment. Driven by a vision to expand this sacred service, the Trust aims to increase its capacity to accommodate an ever-growing number of cows, continuing its mission of Gomata Seva with unwavering dedication.

There are several reasons why cows are considered sacred:

Agricultural Significance â€‹

In ancient India, cows were seen as a symbol of wealth, strength, and fertility. They were used for agriculture, dairy products, and transportation, making them an important part of daily life and a source of livelihood for many people.

Mythological Importance

Hindu mythology associates the cow with various gods and goddesses and considers it a sacred symbol of divine and natural benefits. For example, the goddess Kamadhanya, who is associated with fertility and nourishment, is often depicted holding a cow.

Spiritual Significance

Cows are believed to represent the earth and its bountiful resources. In Hinduism, the cow is seen as a symbol of wealth, strength, motherly love, and selfless giving. It is believed that by showing reverence and respect to cows, one can attain happiness, prosperity, and liberation from the cycle of birth and death

 Kamadhenu

Kamadhenu is a cow who is believed to grant all desires and wishes. It is depicted as a cow with multiple heads and arms and is revered as the mother of all cows. Kamadhenu is considered to be a symbol of prosperity, abundance, and fertility and is worshipped by Hindus as a deity of wealth and happiness. In Hindu mythology, Kamadhenu was considered to have created by Brahma ji and was gifted to the sage Vasishtha ji, who used her to help poor and needy people an to bring prosperity to the people. In conclusion, the worship of cows in India is deeply rooted in India’s history, mythology, and spirituality, making it an important part of Hindu culture and tradition.
