Neither the barren grassland nor the iron fist of the British Empire, managed to shake the young entrepreneur’s resolve. He not only transformed Pasuparai into one of the highest-yielding tea plantations in the nation, but also became the first Indian to own a plantation company. This visionary’s name was Alfred Vedam Thomas. His vision is the AVT Group.
