Hindustan Markets — Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Hindustan Markets ("we," "our," or "the Platform") collects, uses, and governs information in connection with our B2B e-commerce intermediary services.
Public Display Exemption for Seller Documents & Certifications
Any certifications, licenses, registrations, or business identification documents that a seller chooses to upload or feature on public sections of their microsite or showcase vault are explicitly exempt from standard confidentiality and data privacy restrictions. Sellers authorize unrestricted public accessibility for all such self-published materials.
1. Information We Collect
When you register, procure, or manage storefronts on Hindustan Markets, we collect information required to operate a secure B2B commercial environment:
- Account & Authentication Data: Mobile numbers, corporate email addresses, password hashes, and session authentication identifiers.
- Enterprise Information: Registered company names, GSTIN, business category, registered office addresses, factory locations, and authorized representative contact details.
- Transaction & Commercial Records: Purchase orders, quotation requests (RFQs), delivery notes, and escrow status markers.
- Voluntarily Uploaded Certifications: ISO certifications, FSSAI permits, MSME registrations, and trade licenses uploaded to seller compliance vaults.
2. Public Display Exemption for Uploaded Commercial Documents
Hindustan Markets is an open commercial marketplace engineered to facilitate discovery and trust between enterprise buyers and manufacturers.
By uploading any document, image, certification, audit report, or catalog item to public-facing sections of the platform (including but not limited to the Seller Microsite, Certifications & Compliance Grid, and Hero Showcase Badges), the seller expressly grants Hindustan Markets an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to publicly display, host, and index said materials.
All documents marked public or featured are completely exempt from standard non-disclosure agreements, data privacy protections, and confidentiality claims. Any personal data (such as names of directors, signees, addresses, or phone numbers) visibly imprinted upon public certificates will be visible to buyers and search engines worldwide. Sellers must redact any sensitive personal information prior to uploading if they do not wish it to be indexed publicly.
3. How We Use Your Information
We process information exclusively to:
- Facilitate buyer inquiries, quotation matching, and commercial communications.
- Host and render custom microsites, catalogs, and storefronts for enrolled sellers.
- Provide transaction logging, order confirmations, and shipment tracking updates.
- Protect platform integrity against denial-of-service attacks, automated scrapers, and fraudulent registrations.
- Comply with applicable statutory tax reporting and judicial discovery orders.
4. Disclosure of Information to Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or monetize your private enterprise records. Information is shared strictly under the following scenarios:
- Buyer-Seller Connection: Contact coordinates and quotation requirements are relayed to matched suppliers when a buyer submits an RFQ or purchase order.
- Logistics & Infrastructure Providers: Necessary shipment and address information is shared with verified logistics partners (such as Shiprocket) to execute deliveries.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose records if required by lawful subpoenas, law enforcement directives, or court orders under Indian jurisdiction.
5. Data Retention & Document Removal
Sellers may at any time delete or toggle the visibility of their uploaded compliance documents via their self-service vault. Upon deletion, documents are purged from live microsites and public display.
Hindustan Markets may retain archived logs, transactional records, and order history for statutory accounting, tax, and dispute auditing purposes as required by law.
6. Security Safeguards
We deploy modern administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect stored data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. All file uploads are stored in secured object storage with access logging.
7. Compliance with Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
Hindustan Markets functions as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). We process personal digital data lawfully, fairly, and transparently for specified commercial intermediary purposes.
