Company Profile

MANLIFT - TAKING YOU TO NEW HEIGHTS SAFELY

Some companies try to be all things to all people. Not Manlift. We have very consciously chosen to specialise in one very specific area – “powered access equipment”, by which we mean aerial work platforms or mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs). Altogether and with our partners, we have a fleet of about 19,000 units. We sincerely believe that with this single-minded focus, we can deliver superior service to our customers, and that our superior service offer translates to safety, efficiency, and profitability for our customers.

SOLUTIONS FOR WORKING AT HEIGHT

In a nutshell, we provide solutions for working at height, and we are in the business of making certain that our customers can do that safely and productively. The overwhelming majority of our business is in rentals, supplemented by services, like training, that we provide to rental customers.

Sales

In addition, we sell quality equipment for working at height from many of the leading brands. We are the official dealer of JLG, Genie and Teupen in selected countries. We also sell high quality used equipment straight from our rental fleet.

Safety and Sustainability

Safety is our highest priority. Aerial work platforms are a safer way to work at height, and to make certain that our equipment is operated in the safest way possible, we offer training on both operations and safety. We also believe that renting powered access is a sustainable solution – for the environment, but even more, for the long-term business success of our customers. Customers do not need to own, store, and maintain equipment on their sites that they only use occasionally, nor do they need to maintain the in-house expertise and insight that we can provide as specialists. They get state-of-the-art equipment and can focus on their core business rather than expending valuable resources on what is not central to them.

International

Manlift has operations throughout Europe, Middle East and India as well. With a network of partners, we can support activities in just about any country through our International Rentals unit, whether we have our own operations on the ground or not. Few companies can match our international reach.

Operating globally, acting locally

We may have a global footprint, but we haven’t lost sight of the importance of working one-to-one with our local customers. For us, every transaction is personal. We work closely with our customers to ascertain exactly what kind of equipment they need, and what else they may require in terms of training and service. With small teams working out of nearly 60 depots worldwide, we are usually close to the customer both, literally and figuratively. We think that’s what allows us to respond quickly and reliably, and we think it’s also reflected in the relationships we’ve established with our customers based on mutual interest, mutual respect, and trust.

PEOPLE • PLANET • PROFIT

At Manlift, we are constantly looking for innovative and sustainable solutions, in which economic, environmental and social interests are in balance with respect to People, Planet and Profit. The choices are communicated in a fair and transparent manner to all stakeholders.

People

Our own employees are our most important resource, and so we try to operate our business to ensure their health and safety and to provide them with career development opportunities. We comply with all relevant laws with respect to non-discrimination and transparency. But the same commitment we make to our employees extends to all our other stakeholders as well – our business partners, our customers, and our suppliers in the communities in which we work.

Manlift has always demonstrated a very firm commitment to society and the local community, primarily through sponsorships and donations.

Planet

We know that the resources on our planet are limited, and so we are working in many ways to reduce our own environmental footprint to a minimum. We do whatever we can to reduce our energy consumption and our waste, recycling as much as we possibly can, and making conscious choices for products and processes that are good for our planet.

Sustainability is clearly important for the planet, but it is also very important for our business. And we firmly believe it gives us and our customers a competitive advantage. For example, when we can provide low-emissions, low-noise electric-powered solutions, hybrid machines with lower CO2 footprints, and newer, more energy efficient equipment, we are delivering added value to our customers.

Profit

Sustainability is also about long-term continuity. If we do not operate our business “sustainably”, we will not be around in the future to offer our customers the safe and efficient solutions they rely on us for. So we are constantly assessing our own processes and constantly looking at how to improve them. An important element of that process is The Manlift Way, which we’ve implemented to deliver consistently high quality to all of our customers anywhere in the world.

The Manlift Way delivers advantages in quality and reliability to our customers, and is also a business methodology designed to ensure our own business success, profitability, and our future business sustainability – so that we can continue to deliver the best customer experience in the industry to our partners for many years to come.
