Gasgen Ferro Alloys LLP has been promoted by the Lohia Group and the promoters of NE Thermion (NET), Duliajan, both of which are based in the North East and have major investments in the region. Gasgen Ferro Alloys LLP promoters have been pioneers in the Ferro-silicon industry of northeast India, since 1998.

Gasgen gets its name from the fact that the ferroalloys produced in this plant are from power generated through natural gas. Gasgen Ferro Alloy LLP is a new Ferro Alloys Plant with a 4 MVA submerged arc furnace for production of 3,500 TPA Ferro-Silicon along with a 3.8 MW Gas based Captive Power Plant at Duliajan in the District Dibrugarh of Assam State of India.

Gasgen Ferro Alloys LLP has been a pioneer in the production of Ferro Silicon from gas-based power. The unit started commercial production in 2012, and in a very short duration has established a niche for itself in the ferrosilicon market by offering quality Ferrosilicon.
