Green Gram is also known as Moong Dal and Mung Bean; it is one of the major pulse crops in India, it has been described as green gram has been grown in India since ancient times. It is a protein well off, staple food. It contains about 25 percent protein, which is almost three times that of cereals. It is consumed in the form of split pulse as well as whole pulse. Our green gram is available in whole and split, husked and un-husked varieties. We deal in the supply of the superior quality green gram; the beans are small, ovoid in shape, and green in colour.
General characteristics:
- Sweet, clean, wholesome, uniform in size, shape, color and in sound merchantable conditions.
- Free from insects, fungus, added coloring matter, moulds, obnoxious smell, discoloration.
- Free from toxic or noxious seeds and other seeds that are commonly recognized as harmful to health.
- Uric acid and aflatoxin shall not exceed 100mg and 30mg per kg respectively.
- Comply with the restrictions in regard to poisonous metals, crop contaminants naturally occurring toxic substances, use of insecticides, and other provisions prescribed under the Prevention of Food Adulteration Rules, 1955, as amended from time to time.
