Safeguarding Food Supply Chain
Implementing quality assurance in food supply chain starts at the farm with Good Agricultural Practices & Good Veterinary Practices. This enhances the production of food and livestock that is high-yielding, safe and has high nutritional value. These quality systems, which are environmentally sound, ensure appropriate handling, storage, shipping & labelling of the product and the consumer is assured that the food meets quality and safety standards in the entire “farm to fork” cycle.
Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is responsible for setting up standards in nutrition, quality and safety of food products consumed in India. To enforce regulatory framework with all applicable laws, there is a need for inspection, audit and laboratory services all along the value chain. Our FSSAI-approved laboratory plays a major role in providing third party assistance in areas of food nutrition, food quality & food safety testing.
