The annealing temperature for Hastelloy products is 1121 Degree C (2050 Degree F), and water quenching is advised (rapid air cooling is feasible with structures thinner than 10 mm (0.375 in). Some typical applications of HASTELLOY include equipment components in chemical and petrochemical organic chloride processes and processes utilizing halide or acid catalysts.
