VANDAN ALLOYS is an exporter and trader of SS Screws, where full annealing is required after cold work to remove internal stress. Stainless Steel 304 Screws is highly weldable and cold formable, although it does require stronger forming machines and continuously increasing pressure. Stainless Steel 316 Screws is often used in Boiler baffles, Oven lining, Fireboxes, Furnace components, Kiln Liners, etc. Stainless Steel 316L Screws is annealed at 1038 Degree C – 1121 Degree C (1900 Degree F – 2050 Degree F) followed by quenching in water. Heat this SS 304 Screws uniformly at 1742 Degree F – 2192 Degree F (950 Degree C – 1200 Degree C), where after hot forming a final anneal at 1832 Degree F – 2101 Degree F (1000 Degree C – 1150 Degree C) followed by rapid quenching is recommended. SS 316 Screws is used exclusively for its high temperature oxidation resistance, where thus is generally considered to have weldability nearly equivalent to the most common alloys. Special consideration is required to compensate for a higher coefficient of thermal expansion in SS 316L Screws to avoid warping and distortion.
