Sandwich panels with PIR Premier allow you to reduce the cost of cooling or heating due to thermal conductivity of 0.0194 W / m * K, comply with the European standard EN14509. The PIR Premier system was developed at the ProfHoloda R&D center in 2016 and is the best-selling PIR system in Russia.

According to PU Europe, 115 mm thick PU foam saves 162 kWh per sq. m of insulated surface.

Sandwich panels with insulation made of PIR Premier polyisocyanurate foam are a modern hydro- and heat-insulating building material.

The main difference between PIR and PUR polyurethane foam is the high fire resistance confirmed by certificates: G1, EI45. 

Foam polyisocyanurate PIR Premier "ProfHolod" from the best foreign components insulates better than other heaters: its thermal conductivity coefficient is only 0.0194 W / m * K.

Polyisocyanurate foam PIR

Polyisocyanurate foam or PIR is a modified polyurethane foam or polyurethane foam. Like PUF, PIR is produced by the reaction of a polyol and an isocyanate. In this case, the components are consumed in such a way that the isocyanate index exceeds 290, which corresponds to a ratio of at least 2: 1 (isocyanate is twice the amount of polyol). The reaction between polyol and isocyanate is exothermic. During the reaction, heat is released and polyurethane bonds are formed. Free molecules of excess isocyanate interact with each other in the presence of a catalyst at temperatures above 160 degrees Celsius, forming stronger, more stable, polyisocyanurate bonds. The result is polyurethane foam reinforced with polyisocyanurate bonds.

Due to this chemical structure, PIR retains all the positive properties of polyurethane foam: low thermal conductivity, vapor and water resistance, durability. Due to its structure and the content of fire retardants in it, PIR does not support combustion - it self-extinguishes when the fire source is removed. Compared to polyurethane foam, PIR has higher tensile and compressive strengths and can be used where increased requirements are imposed on these properties, for example, in the structure of buildings that are subject to strong wind loads.

Customized PIR Premier "ProfHolod" system

Since 2016, the customized PIR Premier blend has been guaranteeing the quality of ProfHoloda and PIR Plates ® sandwich panels: thermal conductivity and physical and mechanical characteristics. Because it is designed for use on the automatic lines for the production of sandwich panels installed in ProfHolod. Most manufacturers in Russia and around the world use universal solutions from a limited number of producers of raw materials systems.

The PIR Premier system is the best-selling system in Russia. The system is certified according to the European standard EN14509, all ProfHoloda sandwich panels on this system have the CE mark.

Sandwich panels with PIR Premier demonstrate a resistance of more than 185 kPa when tested for compressive strength at 10% deformation and more than 160 kPa at break at a density of 40 kg / m3.

To guarantee the quality of insulation, PIR Premier components are carefully selected at the ProfHoloda Research Center. The selection criterion is the physical and mechanical properties of the foam, better spreadability, low thermal conductivity - only 36 parameters. Tests are carried out on water absorption, dimensional stability and weight loss in accordance with GOST for cellular plastics.

To introduce the recipe on the ProfHolod line, he conducted about 100 tests of 9 catalysts from 5 suppliers from all over the world: in order to select the optimal ratio of catalysts, pressure, components and press speed on the ProfHolod automated lines.

To ensure the quality of every square meter in every batch, the company's R&D center online monitors the composition and characteristics of the sandwich panels by monitoring 14 indicators from the line.

To control the properties of PIR Premier at the molecular level, at the beginning of 2020, ProfHolod installed the world's most modern polyester production unit from the German company H&S.
